Read What's In Between, Only Fumes and Corpses
Despite having one of the worst band names I've ever come across, Galway's Only Fumes and Corpses are actually really, really good. I was kind of ready to write them off as being some kid of silly Blink 182/Spunge-esque pop punk band, yet this Irish mob actually write some really impressive melodic hardcore in the vein of bands like Sick of it All. There's a raucous energy which so many bands cannot seem to capture on CD, while the songs whizz by in the blink of an eye. 'Spineless' is a highlight, while the basslines in 'Drawing Lines' are also really impressive. Overall, this is well worth checking out - and there's no Del Boy in sight...
