Made In NYC, The Casualties
imageQuite a simple review this - if you like The Casualties, this 22-song live album and accompanying DVD is an absolute must purchase. The sound recording is pretty good and there are so many songs here that it's really a great record for fans. The 60-minute bonus DVD is also pretty well shot and well worth at least one viewing. However, for those who don't class themselves as fand - like me - it's not quite such compulsive listening. The band's three-chord trick begins to run a bit dry after a few songs and the between-song banter is a little predictable and at times corny. The self-depricating chat before 'Ugly Bastard' and the 'police are bastards' spiel before 'Criminal Class' is predictable. That said, there's plenty of energy and you can't knock the band on that side of things. 'Made in NYC' is a must for fans and not quite so much of a must for non fans.
