Verona Grove sound like American Hi-Fi crossed with 'So Long Astoria'-era The Ataris. It's kind of melodic pop-rock songs that often verge on epic proportions, although the songs are never good enough to really dig at you and convince you that this band will be your future favourite artist. For example, 'No Words To Say' is excellent, but goes on for about 2 minutes too long. If they'd managed to shave off the fat it would make this track so much better. 'Revolution' is a little too schmaltzy for me too, again a good song but there's something which stops this being great. For those looking for something a little nice and light, Verona Grove will provide a fun listen, but they won't change your world.
