8-track album, Fat Phace
If you look at the single elements that make up Fat Phace's sound, they tick all the right boxes. Well produced, catchy, excellent vocal harmonies - they're all there. The problem for me is I grew out of all the silly pop-punk stuff quite a few years ago, so while anyone under the age of 18 or 19 will probably lap this up, a jaded 27-year-old like myself just can't quite get his head around songs like 'Sex Ninja' and 'Your Mother'. Still, this is 8-tracks of catchy pop-punk and if the band ever got a bit more serious, they could be really, really good. I can't fault what they do at all - 'No One' actually shows some real promise and the arrangement of the vocals is stunning - it's just not really my thing.
