Do You Feel, The Rocket Summer
imageCan Bryce Avary ever do it wrong? All of his records have been absolutely gorgeous in a completely pop way and 'Do You Feel', his first for a major, is surely set to blow him up massive. Continuing on with the piano-pop sound that made his first two full-lengthers astonishingly fun listens, this third album is every bit as good. Sure, it's as camp as a line of tents, but every single song is as warm as a summer's day, featuring huge singalongs and hooks the size of Holland.

There's not a single song on this record which won't fail to warm your heart; 'So Much Love' and 'Save' are upbeat summery anthems, while 'High Life Scenery' is the most fun you can have on a CD - guaranteed. Bryce's vocals are as good as they've ever been, the songs are brilliant, the structure and arrangement fantastic - you can see where I'm going with this, can't you? And while it would be wrong to say everyone will be won over by Bryce's very pop style, tracks like 'Colors' and 'A Song Is Not A...' are so fun and melodic it will be very difficult to stifle a foot-tap or air drum.

Fans of The Rocket Summer will love this record - the rest of the world will probably submit by the end of the year. Fantastic stuff.
