This Much, This Early, False Image
False Image are a kind of emo/pop-punk/rock hybrid that don't really fit into any of the three genres, yet borrow bits from each. This mini-album shows plenty of promise but falls down by the fact the recording and production is terrible and really detracts from the listening quality. That said, several of the songs here show promising signs - opener 'Forgive Me' is a decent tune that would be better served ditching the generic screams at the end, while 'Symbols of a Meaningless Name' has a catchy riff and chorus that suggests the band are certainly on the right lines. Not the finished article, but there are promising parts here which suggest the next record could be a good 'un.
