Reduce the Volume of Your Lungs, Forever Ends Today
My last Forever Ends Today review finished with the sentence: "Becoming their own band, rather than a re-hash of someone else, is neccessary if they want to take things to the next level." A band that showed promise on their self-titled EP, but wore their influences too firmly on their sleeves, this album, out on Lockjaw, is much, much better at showcasing FET the band and not just FET - 'here are our influences'.

That's not to say this album is faultless, because at times it drifts off to heavily into Underoath territory ('Scene One; Entropy at the Alter') while in others the stop/start, sing/scream style is cliched and generic and has been done to death ('Kisses and Crosses'). That said, in places there are some good songs and there's more of their own imprint here, which has to be applauded. A decent debut album with some very good guitar work. For fans of From First To Last and early Thrice.
