Reasons To Revolt, The Disappointments
Described in the accompanying press release as a band which sound a bit like Snuff, Rancid, Anti-Flag and Gallows, there's a snotty punk rock attitude to The Disappointments which actually makes them good. To many bands nowadays play this type of 'fuck you' punk rock yet manage to forget the attitude which makes the genre so believable. Not this band, who have oodles of attitude, spit and venom and launch their way through the six tracks on this EP in around 13 minutes.

With an average age of 17, the musical maturity and political slant of tracks like 'Less Than Three' and the Rancid-esque 'Investigator' showcase a band that clearly has talent and time to develop even further. Already snapped up by Fierce Panda, there's a good chance we'll be hearing a lot more of this lot this year.
