Return of the Kebabulance, catch-it kebabs
imageProbably the UK's finest ska band, 'Return of the Kebabulance' reaffirms the band's status as the cream of the crop. With a more dub, RX Bandits-style sound than previously, this is a record which shows a hell of a lot of musical maturity. 'Rudi Got Swing', for example, showcases a sound and variety of musical instruments which the band have never managed to nail before. 'Damnation' is more aggressive, 'Party Politics' is a downright tune. And while I'm not a ska fan at all, it's impossible not to be impressed by this record. And anyway, if the early-Capdown sound of the EP's final track doesn't make you want to bust a move with some of the awesome bass grooves, you're quite possibly dead. Recommended.
