XisLoaded split, I am the Door
Bath's XisLOADED have been knocking their boots around the live scene for a while now, with slots supporting Biffy Clyro, InMe and Kasabian amongst others. Before releasing their sophomore album, the midlands four piece are treating their fans to a split CD single with labelmates I am the Door, which is strictly limited to 500 vinyl copies.

With a sound that combines Kasabian and thisGIRL-esque influences, 'Momentum Fails' is a truly cracking three-minute wonder. As awkward as it should be, with all the power of the band's live set, it proves to be quite the mouth-watering appetiser for the band's next full length. If 'Trench' sounds anywhere as great as this, XisLOADED will surely be secured as one of the UK's hottest new bands.

On the flipside, I am the Door are almost unrecognisable from the band that released 'Frequency' last year. Much more upbeat and straightforward than their previous work, this Bristol four-piece have benefited from a more polished recording that leaves 'Our Own Radio' sounding as razor sharp as it should.

Sugar Shack Records are on to two winning bands here, both worthy of checking out. If you're already a fan of either act, then make sure you get your hands on a copy of this limited-edition vinyl. It won't disappoint.
