I'm Bored, No Eager Men
Named after a Swingin’ Utters song, No Eager Men promise us a return to 1977 and a time when The Ramones were “kings” and you can certainly see the influence on this three track single. It’s bouncy pop-punk and a coherent start for the band, but it’s not really anything we haven’t heard countless times before. Opening track “I’m Bored” is fairly enjoyable but sounds like it’s coming from a band that are only just finding their feet with their instruments and as a result there is very little imagination here. “The Way You Are” is a bit punchier but again is pretty basic three chord punk with simple lyrics and a lack of killer hooks.

While the Bradford based band seem desperate to highlight their love of old school punk rock they need a little more creativity if they are to make an impact off their own back.
