The Oldest Suicide Cult, Lavotchkin
image"
Lavotchkin is a five piece "Dark Chaotic metal band" from the NorthEast of England. I'll be completely honest and stress that I have absolutely no fucking idea how to describe this band or this CD. At just five songs and 13 minutes, Lavotchkin blast their way through a blend of metallic hardcore and blood-curdling screams. And comparing this to the fashion-core acts that give this type of music a bad name, Lavotchkin do a very good job. It's just this kind of music isn't my thing and, as far as I know, not really any of our reviewers 'thing'. Reviewing this with an open mind you can tell it's done to a high standard, just not my thing. Discount the score because I can't really score something I know so little about - just check out the band yourselves and make your own mind up.
