I know what you're thinking. Yeah, it's horrendous isn't it? I can only imagine the scenario:
Band Member A: Dude, what can we name our band?
Band Member B: I know, let's be totally ironic and call our generic hardcore band something really generic and hardcore!
Band Member A: How about 'We Eat Babies?'
Band Member B: No, let's be Your Eyes My Dreams!
Band Member A: yeah, that's like totally cool...
Or something...the fact is, the name Your Eyes My Dreams is so bad, well, it's just bad. I can't honestly think why such a band would give themselves an albatross of a name. The sad thing is, this mob are a pretty brutal hardcore band and so the assumption they're a soft pansy-assed emo group is a bad mistake to make.
The music, well, it's generic shouty hardcore. A Christian band, there's a positive message and outlook in the lyrics, but tell the truth there's nothing here we haven't heard a million times before. Not as groove-laden as some bands or even as agressive as others, 'Weapons Are Useless' hits a disappointing middle ground and comes across as ineffective. A bit like the name...
