Phobos, Foma
An ultra-quick review out of courtesy because this is about as 'punktastic' as...well, it's just not. We receive a tonne of records to review and we try to get through them all, but this isn't something we would actively encourage people to send us to review, simply because it's not any kind of genre we try and cover. More lo-fi indie pop in the style of Pavement, Foma are pretty damn good at what they do. It's just really not my thing at all. There are all kinds of weird instrumentation and sweeping musical landscapes, and in a way it's highly impressive stuff - but I feel nowhere near qualified to be able to review this properly. Check them out if they sound like your thing.
