You Can't Trust A Ladder, The Myriad
Apparently I'm not allowed to write a one line review saying something is shit anymore, because that isn't constructive and everyone deserves a 1,000 word critique on how good/bad something is. Well, from now on I will try my best to be as constructive and impartial as possible - but sometimes records are so, so bad they don't deserve the full lowdown.

The Myriad, in short, are everything that is wrong with the record industry. A soulless, boring, insepid cash-in on a trend, they sound like a horrific cross between Franz Ferdinand and bands like Muse, with 70s/80s influences. Like that's not been done before. Unsurprisingly this is released on a major label affiliate label and will no doubt be pushed to high heaven, but it's just so utterly contrived and passionless music this bad shouldn't make it past the cutting room floor. Everything that is wrong with the 'business' is wrapped up in one shitty little CD. Avoid.
