This Is Gun City, Sanzen
Freshly signed to the In At The Deep End family, Sanzen remind me a lot of Every Time I Die. Or at least the newer ETID material. It's hard, it's heavy and it's punishing. Oh, and it's fucking good. Featuring members of My War, the Nottingham-based crew spit and slam their way through four songs in a rather impressive fashion. Vocally there's definitely a hint of Keith Buckley in there as vocalist John Elay scythes his way through a field of guitars and drums. 'Modus Operandi' is fantastic, as is opener 'I'll Be Leaving'. I believe this is an album sampler, so if this is meant to tickle the tastebuds, I'm already sold.
