Keep Your Heart, The Loved Ones
All you need to know: ex-Kid Dynamite chaps making fucking fantastic punk rock. Go and buy it.

I suppose we can stretch to a little more detail here though, being the bastion of all truth and honour in the world of music that we are. Simply putting the CD in the player and hearing the beginning of the first track ‘Suture Self’ should be enough to sell The Loved Ones to even the most anti-Fat tosser out there, mixing an upbeat tempo with some decidedly dark lyrics and coming out with one of the most enjoyable openers I’ve ever heard. Love it.

Fortunately the quality doesn’t let up from there, and the soothingly gruff vocals help ease the listener through 13 tracks of brilliant punk rock, akin to (lazy comparison time) the likes of Kid Dynamite, HWM and any number of other fantastic acts that I can’t think of right now thanks to a terrible hangover. Again – go and buy it. You won’t regret it. And if you do, you’re a twit.
