A Combination for Disaster, Anemic
Are Anemic the worst band in the UK? I think they might be. Last time I reviewed them I wrote, and I quote, "Imagine if Taking Back Sunday and Lostprophets merged and suddenly lost the ability to not only write songs, but sing and play their instruments too. That bad would be re-named Anemic. This is absolutely horrible, whiney, post-hardcore shite that doesn't deserve a review. Awful vocals, abominable lyrics and a sound that should have been binned two years ago. Bands like this don't deserve record deals."

Amazingly, this CD is actually worse.

'A Combination For Disaster' is the ultimate generic post-hardcore record, It's like the token CD you should play when you look at the genre rule book. Ill-placed screaming? Check. Piss-poor vocals? Check. Quiet/loud verse/chorus? Check. Pointless keyboards? Check. Shit lyrics? Check. Seriously, this has absolutely everything thrown in and it sounds completely and utterly awful. 'The Formula' rips off Avenged Sevenfold, 'Friday Night' rips off Taking Back Sunday. Everything in between rips off two million other bands yet somehow manages to be worse than every single one of them.

The lyrics are trite and cringeworthy and there's not one hook of note on the entire record. The funny thing is the sticker on the front of this CD says 'KKKK - Kerrang' and claims Metal Hammer gave them 8/10. I can only guess both publications misplaced the CDs they were sent.

This is possibly the absolute worst album I have ever heard in my life.
