This Leeds three-piece really want to be Straylight Run. Like really, really want to be them. I even think the piano part in 'melody' is actually ripped straight from one of their songs - although I don't know too much about pianos so I'm probably wrong. It's not that Unfinished Drawings are a bad band, they're just lifting the vocals of Incubus and the ballads of Straylight and coming up with something that is More So Cal than West Yorks. All three of these tracks are palatable, but I don't really want to listen again. There's no killer hook and no strength or conviction in the vocals. As I say, they're not bad, but they just don't leap out at me either.
