Water Down For Mass Consumption, Rezmo
I can imagine that if this kind of music was my 'thing', it'd be a very good exponent of it. Rezmo do the old-skool 'fuck everything' kind of punk rock very, very well. There are shouty gang vocals and plenty of quality harmonies, but for me there's something lacking. Everyone knows by now that I like my music to be sugary sweet, and this isn't, so I guess that's why I've given this EP the mark I have. It's by no means bad though - 'Fuck This Law' sounds good and is only spoiled by the GCSE 'fuck the world OMGZ!!11!!' lines that make me cringe when I listen to them. 'Organutans Are People Too' (i assume that's spelled badly wrong...) is much better mind. A true DIY release that's better than most CDs we get through the doors, but nothing to make me too excited.
