The Good, The Band And The Ugly, Glueball
This is quite a weird one. On a first listen The Good...appears to be just a run of the mill old-school punk rock album, filled with hefty riffs and big ol' choruses that could make even the most classically trained musician want to growl a bit. But then it hits home: there are no jagged edges or unsightly buzzes here, because this is one of the slickest and most competently produced albums to come from a band that seems to pride themselves on being rough and ready.

What this does is slightly lessen the impact of Glueball's otherwise unspectacular efforts yet further. All the punk rock clichés are present and correct, from the sub-30 second songs (called...um...'Short Song') to the frantic pace of, well everything else. There's more diversity in the eating habits of a student than there is on display here, and by the time the alarmingly short collection of 17 tracks zips by you kinda wonder what the point was. Nothing stands out, nothing pokes its head above the average punk fodder that will make absolutely no impact on anyone except...well...no one. A pointless album.
