If you ever need proof that the emo/hardcore scene in Germany is still alive and well, you just have to listen to LIRR. Hailing from the Northern town of Flensburg, this young quartet capture the zeitgeist of 90’s emo perfectly, and today we are bringing you a first look at their new video for ‘Tongue’.
“We shot the new video in a twelve hour session, with a JVC GR-AX360 VHS-camera by Mats Groth,’ says the band of the video. “The performance is interrupted by landscape footage of Iceland, which was filmed by a member of the band. ‘Tongue’ is the epilogue from ‘Ritual’, our forthcoming concept EP.”
As well as being a concept EP, ‘Ritual’ it is also the bands debut release. A bold move for a first release for any band, but if ‘Tongue’ is anything to go by, they have nothing to worry about. ‘Ritual’ is released in April via Through Love records, so check out the excellent new track below.
