Watch One Man Boycott’s new video for ‘Stockholm Swing’

By Glen Bushell

On the back of their latest album, ‘Counting The Seconds’, One Man Boycott have put together a video for ‘Stockholm Swing’, which we are bringing you today.

“When I started writing the music for what would turn into ‘Stockholm Swing’ I was just trying to do something a little different for us musically, but still hit that big poppy chorus bounce that we do in Boycott,” says vocalist, Joe Brewer. “It wasn’t actually always swung all the way through, the chorus used to straighten up but when we went to record it with Romesh he was like ‘what are you doing? It’s gotta be swing from start to finish!’ we listened and yeah, it’s so much better this way.

“Lyrically it’s a love song but coming from the perspective of a captor in love with their victim trying to force stockholm syndrome to occur. This track is one of my proudest moments on our album, although it is a bit different to the energetic pop-punk/rock you’ll find on ‘Counting The Seconds’.”

‘Counting The Seconds’ is available now via the band’s website.
