Watch Baby Galaxy’s “Melting Butter” live session at RAMA Studio in Mannheim

By Aaron Lohan

We at Punktastic are exclusively sharing the UK premiere of Baby Galaxy’s two song live session at RAMA Studio in Mannheim, Germany.

The session, which is a part of the “Melting Butter” session series, sees the Dutch indie rockers play two songs from their recent debut album, ‘Mighty Night’, entitled ‘Untitled’ and ‘The Lonely End’. The trio are highly recommended for fans of late 80s and 90s indie/noise groups such as Sonic Youth, Sebadoh and Pavement.

Vocalist/guitarist Nick Jongen, who some may recognise from BSM signed emo punks Sleep Kit, had the following to say about recording the session: “The people at RAMA Sound made us feel very much at home. They’re skilled engineers with a good taste in music. What you’re seeing here is the third take. We wish we could have played around with their gear for a bit longer. Fortunately, we’re actually planning on recording a new record with them later this year.”

‘Mighty Night’ by Baby Galaxy is out now on Subroutine Records.
