Warm Copies brace themselves for post-uni life in debut song, ‘Sysiphus, I’

This evening we’re premiering ‘Sysiphus, I’, the debut single from Nottingham band Warm Copies.

Stylistically the band revel in heart on sleeve scuzzy punk that is gnarly as it is anxiously honest. This seamlessly fits with this particular’s themes, which lead vocalist/guitarist Steve Cripps will elaborate on in the next paragraph.

“The song deals with the challenge of moving from life at University to a real and seemingly endless job,” states Cripps. “It looks at some of the worries that come with this, and more specifically, about how these worries amount to drinking too much and waking up in a ditch one day.”

‘Sysiphus, I’ is taken from Warm Copies’ upcoming debut EP, ‘Clothes Are a Capitalist Construct’, which will be released on the 17th January. They will also be playing the following two shows.
