Video premiere of Forgotten Sons’ new single ‘Ragged Sails High’

By Mark Johnson

Being based in the remote Shetland Islands, the most northerly part of the UK, hasn’t dampened the ambition of alt-rock quartet Forgotten Sons. Their remote location may only have three venues, but it hasn’t hidden them from the attention of label Animal Farm, who will be releasing the band’s new single ‘Ragged Sails High’ on March 23. We’re delighted to offer you an early listen to the track today.

“The song is about overcoming depression and anxiety,” vocalist Robert Burgess explians. “The  ship represents who I am and the lyric “I won’t abandon ship just yet” says how I’m not willing to give up life. The video was shot in an old school giving it a dark feel, but the lyrics themselves are of desire and happiness to keep living”.
