The Black Black premiere new single ‘Ego Inflator’

By Penny Bennett

The Black Black is five men making industrial-tinged, ’90s-influenced alt-rock.  On their new album Gravity & Time, the band is aimed at bringing the dark side out at the party. G&T is a concept album about a man who has awoken for the first time in his life, finds himself in present day, and is forced to deal with the world he is immersed in.

The band is led by songwriter and vocalist Jonathan Daily, who has passed the guitar to new member Hiro Williams. Original Black Black bassist Chris Schnaars has returned to play synths, and the all-new rhythm section consists of bassist Dima Drjuchin (Ancient Sky, Kissed by an Animal) and Stephen Reader (Pawns). Slicker production and tighter song structure can be credited to producer Ben Greenberg (The Men, Uniform) who worked with the band for the first time on this record. The Black Black’s live show encourages you to dance out your demons. Gravity & Time< will be available digitally on September 21st.
