Take a surreal journey into the woods with Gloo and ‘How Hard’

By Ben Tipple

Brighton trio Gloo tell a surreal story with their new video for ‘How Hard’. Following two young gentleman into the woods, what follows carries a whimsical tension that Hitchcock would have been proud of.

“If there is one of our songs that we can see a mosh pit happening it’s this one,” Gloo explain. “‘How Hard’ is a favourite of ours to play live because it’s so upbeat and the chorus has stuck in our heads from the day we first played it.”

As for the theme of the track, there’s a tenuous link to the video’s content. “If you listen to the lyrics, it sounds a bit like a game of musical chairs,” they continue, “but it’s really about the downsides of something being available at the click of a button and how this can delude people.”

Head into the woods and see what it reveals in the video for ‘How Hard’, below.

Gloo will be releasing the track via SoundCloud on the 30th January. They have some live dates coming up too.
