Taco Hell unveil pop infused ode on deteriorating friendships

By Aaron Lohan

We are happy to be debuting ‘Same City’, the new single from Nottingham emo punks Taco Hell.

This is the first song taken from the band’s upcoming debut album, ‘Bad at Being Average’, which will also mark a bittersweet end of the group’s short lifespan as a band.

“This is our final release as a band,” states drummer Max Qayyum. “This is due to the fact that one of our members is moving halfway across the world. We’ve tried to cover a ton of musical ground on this album and do everything which we wanted to, so we really hope people enjoy it.”

As for the song itself, it sees Taco Hell amplifying the serenic melodies and emotive pop elements from their previous releases. As for the themes behind the track, Qayyum says, “It is about living in the same town as one of your friends, but never seeing them anymore.”

‘Same City’ is taken from Taco Hell’s upcoming debut album and final record ‘Bad at Being Average’, which will be released on the 15th December. The band will also be playing their final run of shows, all of which are listed below.
