Stream the debut full-length by Norway’s stunning After Words

Norwegian After Words are excellent. With a sound all their own, they mash together elements of Seaheaven, The World Is A Beautiful Place and their heavier counterparts, forming their distinctive emo infused math-rock. The trio manage to retain the dense atmospherics of the aforementioned, yet with guitar work that will allow any math fan to foam at the mouth.

Mixed by Elliot Babin (Touché Amoré, Warm Thoughts) and mastered by Marc Thow at Marc Thow Music Productions, their debut album ‘Tiny Citizens’ will be available from the 15th November via London based independent Backpack Records.

“There is not really any concept about the album since all the songs talk about different topics and are pretty different sonically,” guitarist and vocalist Axel Øksby explains. “During some point in the process it felt like the album would maybe take too much time to be released, but with help from Backpack Records we finally have our album as a final product to the people. Most bands [do] not have an album as their first release for different reasons, but we felt like doing it this way since we had the material to release it as an album.”
