Possum share charmingly fun animated video for ‘Lists’

By Aaron Lohan

Leeds trio Possum are exclusively premiering their fun animated video for their new song ‘Lists’ with us at Punktastic.

The video depicts the band members as the animals they’re named after, playing the rawly delivered dose of indie/emo with the lyrics cropping up for viewers to learn. Fans of Algernon Cadwallader, Cap’n Jazz and Snowing are sure to become enticed by the trio’s charm.

“This song is going to be on our next 6-track EP ‘Come Down’ that’s coming out in early November,” states vocalist/guitarist Adam Crockett. “It’s about when I wrote a list of things that I thought I needed to improve in my life, then finding the whole list a bit overwhelming so I wrote a song about it instead. We recorded it in a really raw way with Will Hirst & Will Cave, our best mates who also happen to be amazingly talented producers and two of the most easy going people ever.”

As for the video itself, Crockett explains that the idea came from a chance meeting with animation enthusiast Will Rea. “Will showed some of his animation to us which we loved and turned out to be a really sound guy. So we sent him some Possum artwork made by another talented bezzie Ben Carter and he came back with this! Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”

‘Lists’ is taken from Possum’s upcoming new EP ‘Come Down’, which will be released this early November. The band will also be playing the following shows.
