Murderhouse embrace the darkness to reach the light on new EP, ‘Self-Doubt’

By Aaron Lohan

We at Punktastic are exclusively premiering ‘Self-Doubt’, the new EP from Brighton band Murderhouse.

The EP brims with woeful tales that are channeled through Murderhouse’s stripped down and earnestly raw emo punk.

Touching upon the themes of the record, the band had the following to say:

“So ‘Self-Doubt’ is a sort of sequel to our first EP ‘Self Help’. It’s more of the Empire Strikes Back sequel, where everything gets worse before it gets better. When we finished recording and started getting the mixes back, we noticed a consistency of certain themes running through the EP. It’s not like we wrote a concept record, it’s just more of a diary of all the dumb things I had got up to in the first 6 months of 2016.”
