The Tidal Sleep have been one of the most prominent bands on the European hardcore scene for the last few years, and now they are taking their sound to another level. The band will be releasing their highly-anticipated third album, ‘Be Water’, on June 30th via Holy Roar Records, and we are bringing you an exclusive listen to their new track, ‘Hearses’.
As ever, it is heavy on emotion, with a sense of melody breaking through their brittle hardcore sound. It’s the perfect way to introduce ‘Be Water’, and shows the natural evolution of The Tidal Sleep.
“I write my lyrics in a very open and abstract way,” say the band of the track. “Although all of my lyrics are very personal, none of them point into a specific direction for the listener. Everyone should take those words and use them in their own context. That’s what I like the most about this form of art. ‘Hearses’ tells a story about how everything falls into place at some point without us having any control about some elementary processes out there. Just float with your surroundings. Do what you want, how you want to do it. Treat everyone with respect and don’t hurt anyone physically or psychologically and we’ll be all fine.”
