‘Tangle’ is a step forward for Purchase, New York based five-piece Havenfield. “Tangle was the first time working in a professional studio and with Brett Romnes,” the band explain, demonstrating their decision to push things forward. “It was a totally different experience working with another creative mind opposed to our self-produced past work. The song really came to life and the gave the song a fully realized vision that reflected the theme and mood of the song.”
Moody is about right. The track is brimming with a destitute atmosphere, mirrored in the video’s visuals. (There’s a pun in there somewhere, once you’ve watched the clip.)
‘Tangle’ was released yesterday [20th November 2015], and follows their ‘Stare’ EP, released earlier this year. The band are planning to return to the studio with Romnes to record their sophomore record.
