Brazilian punk/ska septet Abraskadabra will release their new record ‘Welcome’ on February 20 and we’re giving you the chance to listen to the album in full today. The album will be available on to buy on Bandcamp.

Thiago Trosso (sax/vocals) explains more about the album: “‘Welcome’ delivers our vision of the ska punk essence. All written as a whole band, as long-time friends, searching for a raw punchy sound while exploring melodies at its full capacity, we immersed ourselves inside an old house with our own recording equipment instead of a studio for a month, to capture everyone’s feelings and motivations to come up with our masterpiece so far. The desire of breaking borders with the music we believe in is still present even after 15 years together, and there’s more to come.”

“Welcome’ is an album that sums up pretty well what this band is,” Du (guitar/vocals) continues. “Fast punk rock songs with horns, melodic vocals and backing vocals. Representing everything that influenced us along the way, especially because we are ’90s kids. And above it all, it seems like the most solid work we’ve done so far, from the beginning of the album until the end we tried to keep the fast pace. We wanted to give no chill to the listener because we believe this is what punk rock/hardcore/ ska music is. It makes you feel like breaking stuff, standing your ground and going against the big masses.”
