First play of the new Home Salvation EP, ‘Dead Lovers’

By Ben Tipple

Cambridge outfit Home Salvation blend their punk, hardcore and bluesy rock and roll influences on their new three track EP, ‘Dead Lovers’. Recorded at Titan Studios with Steve Sears, whose catalogue also includes Hang The Bastard and Gallows, the record is filled with the visceral energy of hardcore and classic rock inspired guitars.

“We like to think the music doesn’t conform to any of the unwritten rules that modern rock music seems to follow,” Home Salvation explain. “Punk with classic rock esque guitar solos would make some people throw up in there mouths and hardcore music with a blues breakdown would be classed as somewhat of a rarity.”

‘Dead Lovers’ is the first release by CambridgeBands.com, having provided a local platform for bands and artists for over a decade. “The release captures the three key emotions we were looking for in our debut release: fun, abandon and angst,” the label explains before adding, “‘Dead Lovers’ is destined to rock Cambridge and beyond.”

The record will be available from the 29th April 2016, with a launch show scheduled for the 14th April at Cambridge’s Portland Arms. They will be joined by Field Studies, Acid Tongue and Goldblume.

Home Salvation will also be supporting FOES at London’s Unicorn on the 21st April.
