First play of Lost Ground’s new single ‘Lumiere’

By Mark Johnson

We’re delighted to bring you the first play of ‘Lumiere’, the brand new single from Bradford-based three-piece Lost Ground, taken from their upcoming EP ‘Absent’, which is due for release on February 25th.

‘Lumiere’ is a stunning blend of intelligently constructed, math-rock instrumentation with post-hardcore melodic tendencies. Speaking about the subject of the song, the band explain: “Lumiere was written about being in a bad place, coming to terms with the fact that, if you don’t personally go out of your way to make a change, your life will stay exactly the same and, finally, having the courage to make those changes. As obvious as this may sound, when you are deeply engrossed and in a particular state of mind, it’s very easy to forget even the most basic principles like that.”

You can catch the band live at the dates below, starting with a special EP launch show in Leeds with special guests Tall Talker and Trigger Thumb. Check out ‘Lumiere’ now and prepare yourself for the release of ‘Absent’ on February 25th.
