Fightmilk share new video for ‘Pity Party’

By Aaron Lohan

We at Punktastic are premiering Fightmilk’s new video for ‘Pity Party’.

Hailing from London, this group tick all the boxes required for catchy, boldly delivered pop infused indie punk. This particular song and video underline what Fightmilk are all about in their style and songwriting.

“‘Pity Party’ was one of the first songs we ever wrote,” explains the band, “a knowingly obnoxious lyric just searching for the right Joey Santiago riff to back it up.” In regards to the making of the footage itself they state, “We shot the video in and around Alex’s flat in five hours (including an hour at the pub) using Nick’s phone on a budget of about a tenner: £3 on a Michael Buble t-shirt, £1 for ice cream, and £6 on popcorn, flipcups and a frisbee. Alex went method in the run-up to his performance in the video by acting like an unshakably moody bastard for 28 years.”

‘Pity Party’ is the title track from Fightmilk’s second EP, which was released last month on Fierce Panda. The band will also be playing the following shows.
