Check out the new video from Haters

By Maryam Hassan

Brighton based punks Haters released their self-titled EP earlier this year and it was a banger. We are stoked to bring you their first ever music video, which is for the track ‘Skeletons’.

“When I started writing Skeletons it was initially a song for my best friend who was struggling a lot with anxiety and depression at the time” says singer/guitarist Jo about the track “We’d fallen out and this was my way of telling him that I loved him and was there for him, even though he could be a giant pain in the arse at times! .. As i carried on writing it though, it became more obvious that the song was also about my own dealings with anxiety and mental health. Over the last year its become even more apparent to me how many people are affected by similar difficulties and what sucks is there’s still a huge stigma attached to it, so I think it’s really important to talk about these issues as often and as openly as you can!”

The video was made by Craig Charley who also runs and writes for High Tides, an online Brighton zine. Check out more on Haters here. Catch Haters on tour over the next couple of weeks. Dates are as follows:
