Brunch unveil second album, ‘Useless’

By Aaron Lohan

London indie rockers Brunch are exclusively premiering their forthcoming second album, ‘Useless’, here at Punktastic.

It sees the hone in and improve on their mix of slacker scuzzy rock and indie pop aesthetics, qualities of which will lure fans of Dinosaur Jr., Pavement and Guided by Voices.

“The album was recorded over 2 days in February with the great Phil Booth at JT Soar in Nottingham,” explains vocalist/guitarist Sean Brook. “As well as recording the album we also managed to develop an obsession with Slovakian haulage firm Peter Transporte and play a good amount of table tennis. The album is more consistent in tone than the previous and is our attempt to prove ourselves as competent rock musicians in a fiercely competitive market.”

‘Useless’ by Brunch will be released this Friday 8th September via Hanger Records. The band will also be playing the following UK shows.
