Black Coast explode onto the scene with ‘Mercenary’

By Ben Tipple

Earlier this week, Black Coast revealed their new track ‘Mercenary’, marking the start of their ferocious onslaught on the UK hardcore-metal scene (definitely not metalcore).

“We write honest music that we’re very proud of and try to connect with people on a lyrical and musical level,” the band explain of their sound. “Riffs, hard beats and melody combined to capture the raw sound that Black Coast have carved for themselves.”

On ‘Mercenary’ the band channel the heavy moments of Architects with the hardcore infused sounds of Cancer Bats. It’s brash, loud and unrelenting, depicted in their choice of industrial setting for the new video.

“Mercenary is about making wrong decisions and mistakes in life but not regretting a wrong decision,” they go on to say. “You have the power to turn your life around!”

Black Coast have a number of launch shows scheduled in over the next few months, starting in Stoke on the 22nd January.
