BarCreeps are puzzled by a friend’s decisions in new single, ‘Joey Smokes’

London punks BarCreeps are exclusively streaming their new single, ‘Joey Smokes’, exclusively with us at Punktastic.

The band, whose style is a mix of indie rock charm and nineties punk hooks, had the following to say about the track:

“‘Joey Smokes’ was written about a friend who decided to start smoking in their thirties. We thought it was weird and so we made a song that took that idea and then made it as ridiculous as we could. That friend no longer smokes, it was a brief fling, but it made them happy for that period so power to them.”

‘Joey Smokes’ is the opening track for BarCreeps’ upcoming self-titled EP, which will be released this Friday 27th January through Dirty Sushi Records.
