What’s that? Another festival announcement? Yep, that’s right, and not just any old festival announcement - it’s #7DaysOfTrees time, where one of the UK’s most exciting festivals announces one artist each day for (wait for it) seven days. We’re proud and excited to be involved and introduce you to the final artist of the week – rock duo Rival Bones.

The band came together in 2014 when guitarist and vocalist James Whitehouse was auditioning for a new drummer for his former group – after meeting Chris Thomason and hearing him play, that idea was scrapped, and Rival Bones was born.

Their self-titled debut EP was released in 2017 after singles ‘You Know Who You Are’, ‘Robot Girl’, and ‘Lost Along The Way’, channelling the pummelling hard rock sounds of Queens Of The Stone Age and Audioslave.

Festivals and shows with Fizzy Blood, Electric Six, and fellow 2000trees attendees Mongol Horde followed as the band established themselves as one of the North West’s hottest rising rock bands, all leading up to the release of groove-laden second EP ‘Strangefruit’ in November 2018.

Now the band are joining the stacked bill for 2000trees 2019, along with previously announced artists including Every Time I Die, While She Sleeps, Flogging Molly and Therapy?, as well as headliners Deaf Havana, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, and You Me At Six.

From 11-13 July, Rival Bones will be among more than 120 of the best new and underground rock and indie artists taking over Upcote Farm in the beautiful surrounds of the Cotswold Hills for this year’s 2000trees – it’s an incredible line-up for an unmissable festival, so get your tickets now here. Weekend tickets start from just £129.50 and include three nights camping, with various other options including VIP, day and evening tickets.

The countdown to Trees is on – we’ll see you there!
