London based four-piece Fresh are streaming their new EP, ‘These Things Are Not That Fun’, and it’s pretty great. Raw in its production, it perfectly suits vocalist Kathryn’s whimsical style and serious substance. They aren’t afraid to pack a punch either. On ‘Cinema Woes’ what starts out with gentle acoustic turns venomous in a split second. Fresh may appear frivolous on the surface, but it’s what lies underneath that really grabs attention.

There’s some inspired lyrics dotted around the record too, plus a Joyce Manor cover. That’s pretty great in our books.
