If you’ve ever written a punk track and thought “this needs more choir”, then you might be No Parents. The LA outfit have dropped their ode to anti-grandma-establishmentarianism, the cleanly titled and brilliantly absurd ‘Hey Grandma’. “Hey grandma, merry Christmas, I’m in a punk band,” the minimalist lyrics repeat, breaking only slightly to utter a shocking-if-you-over-think-it c-bomb.

Tongue-in-cheek and accompanied by a suitably ludicrous video, it’s also downright catchy. Just be careful not to utter any of these immoral words to your own grandma or the violin in question might be the least of your worries.
