It’s been a while since Friends In America graced us with 2013’s ‘What It Is To Be’, a record that saw them compare themselves to “Clarity era” Jimmy Eat World and Mogwai. A tantalising description. In those three years the band have retained some of the style and all of the charm, offering an introspective expansive beauty on ‘Bad Pint’. It’s subtle, with the emo influence taking a step back, but their soaring post-pop-rock (I’m sticking with it) is glorious.
