With L.A. Witch coming back to the UK later this month, and to celebrate them joining the family at Suicide Squeeze, I wanted to share my love for them very quickly. They were another band I came across purely by accident when watching videos of their new label mates, The Coathangers, and it was a recommended listen that hit the nail on the head.

These ladies write perfectly crafted, reverb-soaked garage rock with a 60’s girl group twist. Take ‘Kill My Baby Tonight’, which sounds like a track from The Kills being played by The Shangri-La’s. It’s impossible not to fall under the spell of L.A. Witch. Given they have only released a handful of EP’s, hopefully this means a full length is on the way in the very near future.
