Last year I had the pleasure of working with Pennsylvanian singer songwriter, James Barrett on the premiere of one of his singles. Aside from his solo work, he is also a member of Embera, and their latest release, ‘Lilac’, is fantastic.

In keeping with the tradition of almost every band to come out of the Keystone State, Embera have crafted ‘Lilac’ with heart and honesty. Utilising the quiet/loud formula of 90’s alt-rock, they have updated it in the vein of their modern peers. It has minor imperfections that add extra charm to the delivery, and a welcoming sense of familiarity. This track will definitely be the start of something special for Embera.
