Culture Abuse like to party. In fact, they make Andrew W.K’s idea of partying hard sound like an evening in watching TV, followed by a malt-based drink and an early night. A least that’s the feeling I had after listening to a few tracks from their debut album, ‘Peach’.

The particular track that grabbed me was ‘Peace On Earth’. The vocals are desperate, carrying the raw urgency of the track. It’s frenetic, and somewhat brash, but has an underlying melody that eats away at you. They describe themselves as “kinda grunge, kinda punk”, which I would agree with, but above everything, Culture Abuse are a real good time.
