twenty one pilots release music video for ‘Chlorine’

In the lead up to their UK tour, which starts in March, twenty one pilots started teasing their new single yesterday through short non-descript videos on their social media accounts.

The videos showed what appeared to be an empty pool, which led fans to speculate that fan favourite ‘Chlorine’ would be the next track off the band’s latest release, ‘Trench’ to be given video treatment.

Later on, front man Tyler Joseph tweeted, “there’s someone i’d like you guys to meet. i’ll introduce you to him tomorrow. his name is Ned. <{•.•}>”, which naturally had the entire fanbase (or Skeleton Clique) further freaking out. Who is Ned? What is he doing here?

The answer came during the night, with the early release of the ‘Chlorine’ video (“he couldn’t wait until tomorrow”), which depicts Tyler and Josh on an apparent mission to find the world’s entire supply of chlorine in order to fill an empty pool for what might well be the cutest character ever known to grace a music video.

twenty one pilots are known for creating fascinating music videos with stunning videography, and this one is no different, giving serious end-of-summer vibes, despite the cold months that currently lie ahead. It might just be one of their best yet.

Watch the clip below and prepare to meet Ned…
